Will You stop him or will you attack the enemy together? Does not matter. Your party hides from a dangerous enemy, one of your soldiers wants to reveal himself and attack. From time to time You have to chose between 2 or 3 options but it does not matter. Besides the very end where you get to make one decision there is no CnC here. It's the opposite! You gain new skills and weapons but You will never get ahead of your enemy!ĥ. But few missions later when You are revisiting the same land (This story keeps You traveling between 3 different parts of the continent) similar enemies have way better stats then they had at Your first visit! By the end enemy soldiers have more HP and Defences than Ogres had at the beginning! In effect You never feel that Your party is getting more powerful. Imagine that at the beginning of a game you fight some thugs and they have slightly worse stats than Your team. So in effect it is no different than level scaling. And with each mission all Your enemies get slightly better stats. This is a linear game in which you go from mission to mission in predetermined order. Increasing difficulty level just improves enemy stats, and that just makes these boring fights longer When i say "Interesting fight" im talking about how my enemies are placed on the battlefield and what skills they use against me. And almost all of them are boring h'n's without need for any tactic.Īnd do not tell me that i should play on higher difficulty level. Instead of making 5 interesting fights per locations, he makes 50. It reminds me these dialogues in Bioware games where some characters talk for few minutes straight but what they really had to say can be summed up in one sentence.ģ. You could easily trim 50% from all the text in this game (especially from descriptions of your surroundings) and still say what needed to be said without removing any important information. This guy apparently thinks that quality equals quantity. Too much writing! Yes i get it, this is a game with text instead of voice acting and with written descriptions instead of fancy graphics. But mister Vogel's writing is just plain boring.Ģ. Not everyone needs to be as talented as Sapkowski, Martin or Vince. Im highly disappointed by this game, in the end i needed to force myself to finish it just so i could say that i did.ġ. If you're going to make an 'old school' retro style game of any kind, it should give the appearance that it's old school but under the hood it should be more on a par with the games people are used to buying today.Just finished playing it on normal difficulty. Not 2020, it's like a 15 years behind 2020. I didn't even mention the screen flickering, the faded colors, it's like the game is from the 1990's and a poor attempt was made to bring it into 2005. From my perspective, it's unplayable in it's current state. I only paid 3 bucks for it, but I refunded it. I attempted to adjust it to other settings 1920x1080, 1680x1050 and it doesn't help, in fact it shrinks the box of the play area even smaller like I was playing on a monitor that had those resolutions and a smaller screen size, it's comical to run into these kinds of problems even before you try to play the game. My Monitor's resolution is 2560x1440, the game screen play area is so tiny it's like playing with micro miniatures. It reminds me of the kind of game you could buy in the Big Lots Bargain bin 10 or 20 years ago. This game, in 2020 should be of a higher quality.
